Olivier Jezequel from the renowned agency LGA Management, based in Paris and London, is supporting the Picto Fashion Photography Award in 2024. Together with other leading authorities of the photography and art world, he is on the lookout for exciting photography projects by young photographers under the age of thirty. And we have all the details for you.
“For this 26th edition, the Picto Foundation continues to focus on emerging artists and has complemented the Picto Fashion Photography Award with a new grant designed to support young artists in establishing a foothold in the market.
Since 1998, the Picto Fashion Photography Award has been discovering new talent by awarding a style that contributes to photographic creation in the service of fashion and luxury: the originality of the artistic signature and the inspiration sparked by the series will be the assets highlighted by this historic grant with the support of Leica. The le19M de la Photographie des Métiers d’Art grant identifies a signature capable of developing original creative proposals within the fashion crafts: the winner is determined according to aesthetic approach, personal world and sensitivity, and will collaborate with one of the resident houses of le19M, a site conceived and designed by Maison CHANEL, dedicated to the creation and promotion of fashion as a craft.
The Filippo Roversi grant awards the originality of technical expertise of an artist whose visual creation is based on the use of original processes and means : expertise, technical processes, composition and light will be the major aspects of the work highlighted. The grant is awarded by photographer Paolo Roversi, from whom the laureate will have their portfolio viewed and receive a signed print.
This year, we are delighted to introduce the LGA Management/JANVIER grant, in partnership with the agency LGA Management and digital photo lab JANVIER, which awards a visual talent whose photography and artistic direction are applied to the world of beauty, still life or luxury with a multidisciplinary approach to media (print and digital, motion design and video).
Since 2017, the Picto Fashion Photography Award has been hosted by the Palais Galliera / Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. The Parisian museum contributes to the ambitions of this program by giving it its institutional dimension, allowing the winners to have their work added to the public collection and exhibited in a space at the museum. The finalists will be announced in May and presented at the awards ceremony taking place at the Palais Galliera in June, based on a portfolio produced by the PICTO laboratories, in a Prophot book to be given at the end of the evening.
The jury will meet in April and will be comprised of :
- Alexandre Mattiussi, President of the Jury – Founder of AMI Paris
- Sylvie Lécallier, Head the Photography Collection of Palais Galliera
