Ole Henriksen, born in 1951, was raised in the little town of Nibe in Denmark. While traveling in Indonesia, his skin became inflamed with cystic acne and required treatment at a clinic in Jakarta – sparking his interest in skincare from that moment on.

Ole Henriksen moved to London to study skincare and cosmetic chemistry, before moving to the United States. After living in San Francisco for a year, he moved to Los Angeles where he opened his first spa. The Los Angeles Times ran a short story on him, and he began attracting a celebrity clientele. His spa remains a hot spot for skin wellness among celebrities.
The Ole Henriksen skincare products are distributed from Van Nuys, California, with a product line that is meanwhile available in more than 12 countries and has won multiple awards. Upon selling the product line to LVMH in February 2011 for an undisclosed amount, Henriksen works today as creative director of the company.
